Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking has both mental and physical benefits in abundance, and is so beneficial for all-round good health. Your balance will improve enormously and, as it is a weight bearing exercise, it is great for bone strength too. Most importantly, it is fun being out in the fresh air with good company during the winter months.

When: On Thursday mornings 10:00-11:15
First, Second and Fourth Tuesday of the month

Cost: £3 per session for hire of walking poles

We are starting a new Nordic walking group commencing on Thursday 26th November at 10:00 am. Nordic walking poles at a hire rate of £3 each session. This will go towards the purchase of "paws" when required for the poles.

We will meet three times a month and afterwards have a cuppa and homemade baking at The Meeting Place in the park.

The maximum for each session will be eight people, with a minimum of four required for the group to go ahead on each session.

We need firm commitments from new members to make the arrangements for the first, and subsequent, sessions.

There is parking off Johnstone Drive by the gates to the park and also at Rutherglen Primary Health Care Centre, with toilets in the centre as well as in the Church cafe.
