The Quiz Group had its inaugural meeting in February 2024 and those present enjoyed a fun afternoon exercising their “little grey cells”.
A total of 100 questions, sorted into ten subjects - such as History, Geography, The Arts and General Knowledge were pondered over by the quizzers, who also tackled a picture quiz.
The question almost everyone got the answer to?
What was introduced in England and Wales in 1837 which has been a boon to family historians?
Answer - Registrations of Births, Marriages and Deaths.
And the question most people didn't know the answer to?
Which instrument leads an orchestra in tuning to its ‘A’ note?
Answer - oboe
